Syracuse men’s lacrosse has released its 2025 schedule, which consists of 14 games. The Orange open their season on Feb. 1 at the JMA Wireless Dome against Jacksonville, the first matchup of a 10-game nonconference slate. Atlantic Coast Conference play begins for SU on March 29 in a road contest versus Virginia.

Nine of the Orange’s games are in Syracuse, along with four true road contests and one neutral-site matchup — a bout with Cornell on April 12 in Long Island. Following SU’s season-opener, it’s set to cap off a three-game homestand with games against Vermont (Feb. 7) and Towson (Feb. 10), which Syracuse defeated in the NCAA Tournament last season.

Its first road test comes on Feb. 15 against Maryland. The Terrapins, a common nonconference foe for SU, stunned the Orange in overtime last year in the Dome after a controversial video review that took away a potential Syracuse victory in regulation. SU’s schedule doesn’t get much easier afterward, as it takes on Harvard at home on Feb. 22 before traveling to face Utah on March 1 — Syracuse’s first-ever trip to Salt Lake City.

SU then has nearly a month at home, battling Johns Hopkins (March 9), Manhattan (March 18) and Colgate (March 22) before a marquee road showdown against UVA. Four of Syracuse’s last five games are ACC contests. Following the Cavaliers, the Orange will come back home to meet Notre Dame on April 5 in a sure-to-be classic. Then, after its neutral-site matchup with Cornell, Syracuse takes on rival Duke in Durham, North Carolina, on April 19.

The Orange end their regular season at home against UNC on April 26 and the ACC Tournament begins on May 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Should Syracuse make the NCAA Tournament, its road to winning its first national title since 2009 will start on May 10. SU is coming off of a 12-6 season, where it lost to No. 6 seed Denver in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
